Consisting of alternative versions and remixes from the Life Worth Living album sessions, the EP kicks off with the haunting fan-favourite How Could I Lie To You? which shows a side of The Spitfires often overlooked.
Speaking about ‘How Could I Lie To You’ Billy Sullivan states; ‘‘it reminds us all that regardless of who are you and where you come from - you only need to scratch beneath the surface to find we can all feel sadness and we can all feel alone”.
Produced by Simon Dine, he and Billy bonded over a shared love of Billy Bragg, The Specials, Madness, The Redskins and doing the Southern Freeze. Therefore, it's only natural to have an alternative version acknowledging those influences.
The legendary producer and remixer Wrongtom is on hand to perform the remix duties on Life’s Worth Dubbing, whilst Meridan Sound System provide a club edit to get us all moving.
Observations on life in suburban Britain are rarely so honest and poignant: -

How Could I Lie To You? Is out now on all digital streaming platforms via Acid Jazz Records. The band are touring extensively throughout April and May 2021 with two further dates this year at Guildford Suburbs.
