18-Oct-2019 | Soul Flip Edits
Brand New Album
When UK-based DJ/ Producers Del Gazeebo and Aldo Vanucci discovered they shared a love of hip-shaking vintage soul music a couple of years ago the Soul Flip project was born. The recipe was, and remains, a simple one – to take both famous and slept-on vintage soul cuts, subtly but righteously enhance them for modern dance-floors (while remaining sympathetic to the original sound) and release the results on strictly limited 7" singles.
And boy did those 45's sell out in no time, rocking dancefloors worldwide. With no plans to re-press them though, this album is a last chance to cop one fine collection of much sought-after edits on wax along with two additional bonus tracks - the boys' beat-heavy re-interpretation of Bobby Taylor's "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" and an unreleased exclusive version of Judy Clay & William Bell's seminal "Private Number."
Yes, you heard that right – a whole LP of Soul Flip; you know you want some of that trip!
