Fruits of Funk

Mike "DJ Tron" Mory began his musical career at the age of 14 by mixing Italo Disco and Acid House records. But bands like the Beastie Boys and Public Enemy

paved his way to hip hop.

In 1991 he founded the band P-27 with which he released the track "Murder by dialect" (feat. Black Tiger). This is still considered to be the first serious CH-Rap song, which has been released on record. For some years now, the producer from Basel has been focusing on the production of rap instrumentals, remixes and soundtracks for commercials and films.

Since the beginning of his work funk music has been the basis of his beats.

In 2017 he started together with Emanuel Westdjik the label "Burning Sole Records" on which he released 7 singles so far. The last single "The LH Bodyrock/Bombshhell" made it into the top ten of the Juno Records single charts.

Since the beginning of october his first solo-lp is released. "Fruits Of Funk" is an instrumental journey into the spheres of dirty raw funk. DJ Tron works almost exclusively with samples from records. His trademark is the layering of instruments, which he samples from various funk, soul, jazz and blues records. "Fruits Of Funk" is a one-man production. DJ Tron was responsible for the complete music, mix, mastering and cover layout.
