JTQ Belfast March 2020

What can we say about the return of the James Taylor Quartet to Belfast?

By my reckoning it's been more than 20 years since JTQ last graced these shores.
After last Saturday's gig, let's hope we don't have to wait so long again.
The Acid Jazz/Hammond legends had the Empire (and what a great live venue it is) bouncing from start to finish.
The set was crammed with a little bit of everything... some obscurities, highlights from their brilliant new album and old classics.
Who ever gets tired of hearing the theme tune from Starsky and Hutch?
There was an electric atmosphere in the place... already building before the band even arrived on stage.
It's a sign of just how far Pete Brady has developed his Superfly brand that he can now attract an act of such standing to play here.
And great to see a sell out crowd supporting him too!
JTQ back in Belfast - once a home from home for the guys - was a night to savour and will last long in the memories.
Superfly has now raised the bar. But knowing Pete, we're quite sure he has plenty more up his sleeve for the future!
